Tom Bang serves as president and chief executive officer at A-Life, overseeing all A-Life Hospital activities.
His expertise lies in commercializing early-stage technology for significant market growth. Bang brings a wealth of general management, marketing, sales, and business development experience from both his U.S. and international roles to A-Life Hospital. Throughout his 30-year career, Bang held various executive level positions in leading healthcare companies, including those with MediTROL Automation Systems (Owen Healthcare); Pyxis Corporation (Cardinal Health); Baxter International and American Hospital Supply Corporation.
More specifically, Bang led the successful turnaround of MediTROL Automation Services, acquired by Cardinal Health in 1997 as part of a larger acquisition. At Pyxis, he helped grow revenues worldwide from $200 to $680 million while serving in several key executive roles. During his tenure there, he led the development and commercialization of several new technologies. Under his leadership, Pyxis generated new product revenues in excess of $270 million in part due to technology development and advancements along with acquisition investments of approximately $35 million.
Bang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University.
